We participated on 8th IAG International Conference on Geomorphology. It was realized by the Groupe Français de Géomorphologie and opened to all scientists from the world which practice geomorphological research. Conference included 26 scientific sessions. We presented our conclusions from research through the session Fluvial geomorphology and river management.
The session included wide range of aspects of current research. It comprised of fluvial processes and dynamics, morphological spatial variability and changes over various timescales, and fluvial interactions with other processes such as tectonics or ecological dynamics. It examined the application of understanding of fluvial systems to sustainable management of fluvial environments from catchment to site scale and address challenges of management of fluvial hazards and implementation of river restoration.
